Type Locality and Naming

In the Daralitau Mountains, Southwestern Gissar. M.R. Dzhalilov, 1968 (190, p.42). Stratotype in the Muzrabat River valley, in the Gazdagan gorge (southern part of the Kelif-Sarykamysh ridge).

Synonym: Daralitaus Suite, Даралитауская св.


Lithology and Thickness

In the South - greenish-gray clays with interlayers of sandstones and shell limestones; in the North - siltstone (aleurolites) and sandstones. Thickness 22-165m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Sarykamysh Fm

Upper contact

It is conformably overlain by the Udantau Fm.

Regional extent

Southwestern Gissar. Corresponds to the Kantau Fm and lower part of the Aktag Fm (51; 56; 189; 300; 383; 446).
